How you reference youtube videos depends on your university's referencing guidelines, but it'll either be in your references or bibliography.
You could also put together a survey (survey monkey could be useful).

I would, in fact, recommend against this, for the simple reason that EVE is - while pretty damn awesome - a niche game. And scientifically speaking, a single MMO, no matter how many responses you get , is not a statistically significant amount of investigation to satisfy a Thesis, even a "mere" Bachelor's. The title you are giving your thesis implies MMOs, plural. And you will lose marks if you focus on a single game only.
Besides, you have to consider multiple community structures to get a truly significant set of results.
EVE has a specific community and style due to a combination of the mechanics provided by CCP, and the general playstyle and psyche of the game as a whole (spies, politics, backstabbing, PvP, e-honour, wars, etc etc etc).
Just try and compare that to something like a random WoW guild on a random shard server for that game.
Then do the same for a World of Tanks, or Mechwarrior Online player "clan". Then try the same for several F2P offerings, like Secret World, Lord of the Rings Online, Everquest (any of them). Or SWTOR? Do MOBAs count? What about Wildstar?
Have you defined all your assumptions, and given suitable reasons?
What about Guild Wars 2 or Black Desert Online, or Perpetuum? Something as ancient as Anarchy Online? Or Wurm Online? Does Path of Exile count? Do you focus on guilds/clans/corps/units/etc? What about wider forum communities? Server communities? Different communities of channels in EVE? Interest groups, that focus on combat, or raids, or trading? RP groups?
Do you focus on in-game resources, or out-of-game, or both? What about player-run forums, or communities like Something Awful, or Reddit? Or random external third party sites, such as FailHeap Challenge?
How does voice comms, or lack thereof impact any/all of this? Does this include community in terms of inclusion of devs/GMs/etc? Such as communication/community not just amongst players but between devs and players?
Raw numbers can be found on places like dotlan. Those will only give you a little of the story.
My advice? Don't focus on EVE alone. But make it a part of the "core" MMOs you consider (i.e. large, or leading MMOs in various genres/styles of MMO).
